BIA-MA Southeast
fishing The Brain Injury Association's Southeastern office serves residents living in Southeastern Massachusetts. This office provides information, resources, support groups, and informal counseling to individuals with brain injuries, families, and professionals from the south coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands. Zelinda Pereira, administrative assistant, is fluent in Portuguese.

"There are many people in this region with brain injury who aren't aware of the services available to them and where to find them. Since opening the office a few months ago, we've had a growing number of callers, and have identified numerous medical, legal, educational, and social service resources in the area."
- Sandy Topalian,
Southeastern Regional Manager
BIA-MA Southeast has more than half a dozen support groups that provide support and social/recreational activities for individuals with brain injury and their families.

In addition, the association has a new site located on the Cape for its Brains at Risk program, a court referral program for adults who have been charged with driving under the influence, operating to endanger, or other driving violation/actions that put themselves and others at risk. For more information on the Brains at Risk program, contact Emily Ring at (508) 475-0032 or email her at ering@biama.org.
