Ryan Farrell

"My recovery continues each day"

Ryan was performing with her cheerleading squad when a flyer on top of her stunt group fell and landed on her. A short time later, she collapsed and did not regain consciousness. She had sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), along with a collapsed lung and fractured vertebrae in her neck.

Support Groups

Brain injury can have a traumatic effect on both survivors and their families. BIA-MA sponsors support groups across the state that provide survivors and their loved ones a forum for sharing information about brain injury as well as a compassionate and understanding peer group and an opportunity to socialize and make new friends with others through recreational activities and outings.

Click here for the Support Group List for ALL MA: This list includes support groups from all over Massachusetts and is regularly updated. However, we urge you to call the individual support group before attending a meeting, as location and times sometimes change. If there is not a support group in your area and you would like to start one, we can help.
