Annual Sports Concussion Conference

This conference is designed to review current practices in the diagnosis, assessment, and management of sports-related brain injuries in young athletes. It will benefit professionals involved in all levels of care as well as parents, trainers, and coaches.
Educational objectives:
  • Understand the causes of sports concussions an how to prevent permanent brain injury
  • Learn how to identify the patterns and symptoms of sports-related brain injuries
  • Review the current guidelines for managing sports concussions
  • Recognize the importance of identifying social and academic changes resulting from brain injury and the special needs they present at home and in school
  • Review the legal implications involved in sports concussions and brain injury
  • Learn from the experiences of families and athletes who suffered sports concussions
